An opportunity to discuss your situation and get an idea of next steps
The initial assessment starts with obtaining some background information and arranging a home visit so I can meet your child/teen to get a sense of them/their world. Further information may be required (e.g. via completion of questionnaires/screening tools) in order to assess needs further. Findings and recommendations will be discuss alongside agreeing next steps (usually by phone/email)
It might be that a more formal approach is needed either because your child/teen has complex needs or you need a report to obtain services e.g. referrals, diagnostic assessment or to help evidence DLA / EHCP applications,
