About Me
Professional & Personal Achievements
I'm a bit of a 'why' person and I love putting pieces of a jigsaw together to see a bigger picture. The mind / body connection has always fascinated me - how what we think affects how we feel and how we act and because of this, I trained in a number of specialist interventions that I blend into my practise. I've been in the helping profession for over 30 years and professional and personal highlights so far include; Appearance on ITN news, writing a chapter in published a book, several award nominations, developing Gloucestershire's NHS self-management programme, teaching Emotional Freedom Technique (tapping) to women in prison and completing the couch to 5k programme! I enjoy making a difference in young people's lives so will work flexibly with young people and with their parents/carers/placements either online, face-to-face, in school/college, at accessible therapy rooms (in Gloucester & Cheltenham), within children/supported living placements, in the home or out and about on a walk/drive.
I live in Hempsted, Gloucestershire with my husband, 2 daughters, a rescue cat called 'Spirt' and a very cute new puppy called 'Rosie'!
